The most frequent animals are bulls with massive withers, but there are also goats, rams, and gazelles. One long-snouted boar and two large-tailed creatures, possibly lizards, are unusual in the assemblage.

Despite the abysmal state of preservation, this assemblage remains a treasure trove for the study of early Neolithic life and thought. It presents a wealth of information that is otherwise unobtainable: the species represented, the style of manufacture, the context in which they were recovered, their place in the iconography, and the role animal symbolism may have played in ancient Near Eastern thought.
